Personal Professional Background

Diane is a Connecticut native and has lived in Hartford County for over 50 years. She grew up in Southington, CT. After college, she helped run her family business and traveled all over the U.S. doing trade shows. She later got married and moved to Vermont where she lived for five years and worked as a Design Consultant at a local furniture store and as a Sales/Customer Service Representative at a wrought iron lighting manufacturer.

Diane fell in love with the Farmington Valley and has lived in Simsbury since 2002. Diane is very active in the community; volunteering at local fundraisers and town events, attending local town meetings, concerts, festivals, sporting events as well as being a member of local clubs and organizations, such as the Chamber of Commerce. Her husband, Michael Conroy, grew up in Avon, CT and is a local attorney at Hassett and George. They have two wonderful adult children, Emma and Aidan, who attended Simsbury public schools, the FVTA program at the University of Hartford, Avon Old Farms School, Tunxis and Champlain College in VT.

Diane had been told by people for years that Real Estate was her calling. Before getting her Real Estate license in 2010, she decided to get certified in home staging and redesign. Diane started her career in a challenging market and felt she needed to have her listings stand out from the competition to insure a quick sale at the highest possible price.
